Inspections

The City of Menlo park only accepts on line inspection requests. All documentation that is required to be submitted during the course of construction (such as surveyor letter, special inspection reports, etc.) are to be submitted electronically using the City's Accela Citizen Access Portal (ACA) and meet the required file specifications.

The City does not guarantee next day inspection. it is the scheduler's responsibility to be aware of the potential delay in inspection availability and schedule enough inspection time to allow the City Building Inspector time to complete their inspection(s). 

The City of Menlo Park Building Division recognizes the challenges associated with inspection availability during the busy season and work during the wet season. In the event of the need for an inspection sooner than a scheduled inspection please call (650) 330-6767 until 9:00 am. After 9:00 am, please call (650) 330-6710.

It is important to note that any inspection requested sooner than a scheduled inspection is required to be approved by the Building official and may carry an additional fee.
