Roles and responsibilities

The Finance and Audit Commission is charged primarily to support delivery of timely, clear and comprehensive reporting of the City’s fiscal status to the community at large.

Commission priorities

Review the process for periodic financial reporting to the City Council and the public, as needed
Review financial audit and annual financial report with the City’s external auditors
Review of the resolution of prior year audit findings
Review of the auditor selection process and scope, as needed

Meetings, agendas, minutes and videos

Finance and Audit Commission meetings are generally held on the 3rd Thursday of every quarter at 5:30 p.m. Meeting dates and times are subject to change.

The city website provides meeting agendas, minutes and videos for public review. For regular meetings, agendas will be posted no later than 72 hours in advance; agendas for special meetings will be posted no later than 24 hours in advance. Meeting minutes are available following approval. Videos are typically posted within 24 hours after the meeting.
