April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, a national campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and educate the public on safer driving habits to prevent accidents. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 3,308 people were killed in motor vehicle crashes involving distracted drivers in 2022. Distracted driving includes phone usage, eating and drinking, playing with the navigation or radio controls and anything that distracts the driver from paying attention to the road.
