Tonight, April 13, at 7 p.m., the Planning Commission is scheduled to review and consider a recommendation to the City Council to adopt a new ADU Ordinance, which would comprehensively replace and update Chapter 16.79 (Accessory Dwelling Units) for consistency with State ADU law and to incorporate local objective standards. The Planning Commission is a recommending body to the City Council. The City Council, as the final decision-making body, will review and consider the Planning Commission’s recommendation at a future public hearing, tentatively scheduled for May 12.
