On April 15, the City Council adopted two resolutions accepting over $3 million in competitive funding from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) to advance climate action, housing initiatives and community mobility. The awards resulted from exceptional collaboration between the City’s Engineering, Housing, Planning, Sustainability and Transportation teams to submit the applications last year. The grants include:
The funding will directly support Menlo Park’s Climate Action Plan, Housing Element, Complete Streets Policy, Transportation Master Plan and Vision Zero Action Plan by expanding access to sustainable transportation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.
