Major sporting events can bring excitement and celebration but can also coincide with increased incidents of domestic violence. This serves as an important reminder that domestic violence affects people of all backgrounds and that support and education are vital to prevention and healing. Awareness and resources matter. If you or someone you know needs help, you can call the national domestic violence hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or text START to 88788. Resources are available at the Domestic Violence Awareness Month webpage.

You can find information on the Victims’ Bill of Right Act (also known as Marsy’s Law) at the Menlo Park Marsy’s Law webpage. Together, we can stand stronger against abuse and help create safer communities. Awareness saves lives, let’s make it count!
