October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Published on October 06, 2025
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence. Every October, people unite across the country to uplift the needs, voices and experiences of survivors. This month reminds us that domestic violence affects people of all backgrounds and that support and education are vital to prevention and healing.
If you or someone you know needs help, you can call the national domestic violence hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or text START to 88788.
More resources on domestic violence awareness are available here.
You can find information on the Victims’ Bill of Rights Act (also known as Marsy’s Law) here.
Together, we can stand stronger against abuse and help create safer communities.
