Public Works
Public Works is responsible for maintaining and improving the City’s streets, parks, water and stormwater systems, traffic signals, trees, fleet and public buildings. Our mission is to ensure the health and safety of the community in an efficient, sustainable and cost-effective manner. We consist of four divisions:
Engineering Division -
- Capital Improvement Program (CIP) - The CIP team is responsible for designing and building all the City’s public infrastructure improvements.
- Land Development (LD) - The LD team reviews private development applications and manages all encroachment permits in the City’s public right-of-way.
Transportation - This team plans the City’s transportation projects and programs and manages the traffic signal and streetlight infrastructure.
Maintenance - The City’s streets, parks, fleet, facilities, water and tree teams maintain and operate the City’s infrastructure.
Business Services - Customer service, budgeting and water billing are managed by this team.

Report non-emergency issues through ACT
ACT is the City’s online issue platform. Some examples of issues to report via ACT include:
- Park maintenance
- Damaged street signs
- Streetlight outages
- Sidewalks/tripping hazards
- Missed street sweeping
