East Palo Alto Sanitary District advisory committee vacancy

The City is seeking applicants to represent Menlo Park on the East Palo Alto Sanitary District (EPASD) advisory committee and support the EPASD’s mission to provide safe, efficient and cost-effective sanitary sewer services to portions of East Palo Alto and Menlo Park.

Interested Menlo Park residents over the age of 18 who live in the EPASD service area are encouraged to apply by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13. Check your sanitary sewer provider at menlopark.gov/utilities.

Sanitary sewer providers

There are three sanitary sewer providers in our community. Look up your sewer provider using our interactive map.

  • West Bay Sanitary District is the main provider of sanitary sewer services within Menlo Park. The system transports wastewater to Silicon Valley Clean Water for treatment and discharge to the San Francisco Bay.
  • East Palo Alto Sanitary District is the next largest provider in our city. It generally overlaps with O'Connor Tract Co-Operative Water Company and includes properties between Menalto Avenue and Euclid Avenue. The system transports wastewater to Palo Alto Regional water Quality Control Plant for treatment and discharge to the San Francisco Bay.
  • Fair Oaks Sewer Maintenance District works jointly with San Mateo County and services a small section of Haven Avenue. The system transports wastewater to Silicon Valley Clean Water for treatment and discharge to the San Francisco Bay.
