Abandoned shopping carts

Businesses are required by California State Law to collect shopping carts that are removed from their locations (California Business and Professional Code, Sections 22435.1 and 22435.2).  All shopping carts must have a sign that identifies the business name and contact information. It is illegal to remove shopping carts without the authorization from the business owner. Shopping carts should be collected by the business owner.
