Definition: Per CBC Section 202, a newly constructed building is a building that has never before been used or occupied for any purpose.

The site design must include space for recycling containers and access for recycling collection trucks as well as for garbage service. Please see Garbage ad Recycling Enclosures below for more information.

Permitting

• Each phase of a project will typically have separate permit associated with it. Please review the "Typical Large Project Permits" information below for an overview of the typical permits issued. 
• Each structure on the site is required to have it's own permit. Please contact the Building Division for clarification regarding whether or not separate plan sets will be required for each structure.
