Willow Oaks Park and Dog Park

Willow Oaks Park is a 2.63-acre park adjacent to KIPP Valiant Community Prep School and Silicon Valley International School.  This park provides tennis courts, a multi-use open field, a playground, picnic tables, and an enclosed off-leash dog park.  It is the perfect location for a day at the playground, an afternoon tennis match, or a day out with your four-legged friend.  

Willow Oaks Dog Park

Willow Oaks Park is home to an off-leash dog park located between the playground and the field. Willow Oaks Dog Park is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until dusk. The area is fully enclosed with an open, artificial turf area, a dog waste receptacle, waste bags, and water fountains for both humans and dogs. Visitors to the dog park must follow all dog park rules, ordinances, and applicable City policies.

Dog Park Rules

• The dog park area is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until dusk.
• All dogs must be on leash entering and exiting the fenced area. Dog owners or handlers must have a leash in hand at all times.
• All dogs must remain within the fenced area when off leash.
• Dog owners/handlers must be in control of their dogs at all times.
• Dogs are not allowed to dig in any area of the parks.
• Dog owners/handlers should monitor their dogs to ensure that play is mutual and friendly, and that proper distance is maintained from other dogs or people when needed.
• Dogs with a known history of dangerous behavior are not allowed.
• Cleaning up after your dog is mandatory.
• Dogs must have current licenses and vaccinations; licenses must be on the dog’s collar; collar must be on the dog.
• No more than three dogs per owner/handler.
• Children under the age of 14 must be closely supervised by an adult.
• Food consumption and the use of glass containers are not allowed in the off-leash area.
• Dogs in heat are not allowed.
• No puppies less than 4 months of age are allowed.
• Owners must provide their own drinking bowls.
• Leaving dogs unsupervised is prohibited.
• Training classes are not allowed.
• Dog bites shall be reported immediately to the Peninsula Humane Society at 650.340.8200. To report emergencies, call 9-1-1.
• Failure to comply with the posted rules and regulations shall constitute a violation of Section 9.12.010 of the Menlo Park Municipal Code. Violations can be reported to Menlo Park Code Enforcement at 650.330.6300.
• The City of Menlo Park reserves the right to close the parks and facilities at any time.
• Use the park and/or facility at your own risk.
