The Menlo Park Safe Routes to School Program is planning exciting events for the spring! Stay tuned for citywide school challenges and in person celebrations.
Celebrating Crossing Guard Appreciation week reminds students how important crossing guards are, and gives the crossing guards an extra loving boost to do their jobs well. When crossing guards feel loved and supported by the community, they are more likely to stay committed to their roles.
Tell the Menlo Park Safe Routes to School program a story about your crossing guard to show how they are special to you and make a difference in your life. Your crossing guard could win a prize!
We will launch again this year our Video Challenge to promote walking, rolling, carpooling and busing in Menlo Park. All students will be invited to share how they walk, roll and bike to their favorite places and why. See last year's contestants' videos, here. More details to follow soon!
The Menlo Park spring party will be back for the first time in three years since the first edition in 2019. We will celebrate spring with the screening of the award-winning documentary Motherload and the unveiling of the video challenge winners.
