Dumping garbage and unwanted items on the streets is illegal. You can face up to $500 in fines and a misdemeanor. Recology offers two free collection services of large and bulky items a year for residents in Menlo Park. You must schedule collections ahead of time with Recology. Multifamily properties must contact their property owners to have these collections coordinated for their entire complex.
