Electric vehicle charging fees increasing July 1

Beginning July 1, fees at City-owned electric vehicle (EV) charging stations will increase following City Council approval of the updated Master Fee Schedule April 28. The updated rates support the City's cost recovery efforts and help offset the ongoing costs of operating and maintaining public charging infrastructure.

New charging rates:

  • Level 2 Chargers: $0.41 per kWh
  • Level 3 (DC Fast) Chargers: $0.51 per kWh

Additional updates include:

  • The $0.50 charging session access fee has been eliminated
  • The $5 per hour overstay fee will remain in effect after three hours of charging

City-owned charging stations are located throughout Menlo Park.
