Roads along the Schoolhouse Rocks race course starting at Hillview Middle School will be closed to traffic from approximately 8:30–10 a.m. May 17 for the 5K, Fun Run & Festival. We encourage residents and visitors to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use alternate routes during this window. During the event, the Menlo Park Police Department will be monitoring the race course, ensuring safety and directing traffic. See the map below for course details.
The Schoolhouse Rocks 5K, Fun Run & Festival brings together 1,500 neighbors to run, walk, jog or stroll in support of Menlo Park City School District schools – Laurel, Encinal, Oak Knoll and Hillview. A lively post-event festival featuring bouncy houses, games, music, food trucks and family-friendly fun for all ages will be available after the race.
