Holiday open hours at City libraries and recreation centers

City libraries and recreation buildings will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Some buildings will have modified hours on additional dates before and after these holidays. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please find the holiday hours outlined in the tables below for the weeks of Monday Dec. 22 - Saturday Dec. 27 and Sunday Dec. 28 - Saturday Jan. 3.

City offices will be closed from Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025 through Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026 for the holidays. City offices will re-open Friday, Jan. 2, 2026. Menlo Park Shuttles will be out of service Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2026. Menlo Park and Belle Haven Library will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2026. Also, on Dec. 31, both libraries will close at 6 p.m.

"Winter Reads" community reading game

End this year strong, keep reading through the winter season, and kick-start the New Year as you read your way through the coziest time of the year. Winter Reads is open to all ages. Anyone can participate by signing up on the Reader Zone App between Nov. 15 – Jan. 17. Everyone who reaches their reading goal will earn a free book or Kepler's gift card!
