Drowsy Driving Prevention Week
Published on November 03, 2025
Nov. 2–8 is Drowsy Driving Prevention Week, a national campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of driving while fatigued. Each year, hundreds of lives are lost in drowsy driving-related crashes.
Prevent fatigue behind the wheel by:
• Getting a good night’s sleep.
• Checking your prescription and over-the-counter medications to see if drowsiness is a side effect.
• Taking breaks and pulling over if you start to feel sleepy.
• Avoiding driving during peak sleepiness periods, typically between midnight and 6 a.m.
• Sharing driving responsibilities with a buddy on long trips.
