The National Weather Service forecasts continued moderate to heavy rainfall and wind gusts of up to 25 mph through Thursday, Dec. 25. Impacts include ponding on roadways, minor flooding and downed tree limbs. If traveling for the upcoming holiday, plan to leave extra time as there may be traffic impacts. Also, do not attempt to drive through flood waters. Please find an alternate route. More information on driving during wet weather can be found at menlopark.gov/storms.

Tips to Prepare for Winter Storms

  • For blocked storm drains, sink holes, landslides, levee damage and fallen trees, submit issues via menlopark.gov/ACT or call Public Works at 650-330- 6780 weekdays from 7 a.m.–4 p.m. (Note: City Hall will be closed Dec. 24 – Jan. 1). Please use the 650-330-6300 number after-hours and during the City Hall holiday closure.
  • For power outages and gas leaks, call PG&E at 1-800-743-5000 and check
    their outage center map online.
  • For sewer problems, call West Bay Sanitary District at 650-321-0384.

The City will continue to monitor forecasts and conditions, and staff are ready to respond should conditions change.
