Gunfire report downgraded to fireworks after police response Published on December 17, 2025 MPPD dispatch received a call reporting a person possibly armed with a gun in the area of Valparaiso Ave and Hallmark Cir and a report of possible shots fired. Officers responded to the area but did not locate anyone matching the description provided. Police respond to mental health incident Published on December 16, 2025 Menlo Park Police responded to calls of a person with a gun. When officers arrived, it was determined that the person and vehicle matched the description of a missing and suicidal person. Overnight parking enforcement deferred for the holidays Published on December 15, 2025 The City will suspend residential overnight parking enforcement during the holiday season. The overnight parking ordinance will not be enforced beginning Monday morning, Dec. 22, through Sunday morning, Jan. 4, 2026. It will resume at 2 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2026.
