The City Council held its annual priority and goal setting workshop on March 18, 2023, from 10am to 2:30pm in Council Chambers and via teleconference. The workshop provided an opportunity for Councilmembers to review and create consensus on priorities for the coming fiscal year. Councilmembers also reviewed information on what makes for effective city councils, discussed governance norms, and strengthened teamwork.
Thank you to the hundreds of community members who shared input on top priorities by filling out the City’s online feedback form, emailing the City, or speaking during the public comment portion of the workshop.
The City Council established five top priorities for fiscal year 2023-24: Housing, Emergency Preparedness, Climate Action, Activating Downtown / Economic Development, and Safe Streets.
