Join us for the Compost, Mulch and Soil Health Landscape Class Nov. 1

Get your garden ready for winter while conserving water. Join the City of Menlo Park’s Water-Wise Soil: Compost, Mulch and Soil Health workshop Saturday, Nov. 1, from 1–2 p.m. at the Arrillaga Recreation Center, Juniper Room (700 Alma St.).

This free, in-person class will cover composting, sheet mulching, soil testing and vermicomposting, which uses earthworms to break down organic matter. Participants will also learn how mulch helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Attendees will receive a complimentary compost bag to take home. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Learn more about the event and register here.
